SF La Raza’s Bridge Program, a new program to help first-gen 3Ls and 4Ls transition from law student to legal professional. This program is open to 3Ls and 4Ls only, and students of all backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Over the course of the year, you'll build community with fellow students, hear from guest speakers, and get a free ticket to our annual dinner, Noche de Gala, on October 15th. We'll focus on career planning, preparing for the bar, and navigating the start of a legal career — including topics like receiving feedback and understanding that where you start isn't where you'll end up.
This is a brand-new program, and we're looking for students who want to participate and help shape it with us. For example, you'll have a say in which topics we cover and what kind of guest speakers we bring in. We have a plan and schedule in place, but we'll adjust based on your feedback and needs as we go.
We'll meet once a month, usually on a Friday — 9 sessions total, running October 2026 to October 2027, with breaks in December, May, July, and August. Our first session will be October 2nd at the Federal Courthouse.
There are many great diversity programs for 1Ls. Click here to learn more and for upcoming deadlines.
